Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is seeking a Utility Locator to join our team in Kennesaw, GA.Key ResponsibilitiesMark underground utilities on Wood projectsOperate vacuum excavation truckRecord collected field data in field books and or sketchesAid in maintenance of all utility location equipmentAssist utility analyst with files and field calculationsProject Related ResponsibilitiesAll facets of Utility Locating projects including:Collection of utility recordsEstablish project limitsCollection of utility structuresProviding utility designation on Wood projects
Skills / QualificationsRequiredExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal).Excellent organizational skills.Some Computer skillsTechnical competence.Commitment to work with other sections and divisions of Wood.2 years of utility locating experience.Valid driver’s license.High School Diploma or GEDAbility to travelPreferredPrefer familiarity with surveyingPhysical Job DemandsPerforming work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather climatesRequires the use of hand held equipmentMust be able to work in a field environment and have the ability to travel as requiredWorking on several jobs simultaneouslyMaintain good client relationsCompany OverviewWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
