The Account Manager, Energy Programs will play the leading role in promoting pump system related programs that deliver energy efficiency in commercial and industrial settings. The position is responsible for the overall promotion and growth of the Hydraulic Institute portfolio of training, certification and labeling programs that focus on increasing energy efficiency among pumping systems. The target audience for these programs includes public utilities, government institutions and organizations who are committed to the same efficiency objectives. Pump manufacturer Members along with suppliers, reps and distributors are also a target audience.
The Energy Efficiency Account Manager reports to the HI Technical Director located in the Parsippany, NJ headquarters. S/he will work as an integral part of HI providing thought leadership to and drawing resources from the, Technical, Training and Marketing teams.
Education & Experience:
Position requires at least 3-5 years’ professional experience in sales or account management related to training, certification in the energy efficiency field and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Business development acumen along with a strong focus on customer needs is required. Experience managing multiple projects and working on cross-functional teams will be critical for success. The candidate will have a strong interest in energy or resource efficiency and an understanding of the North American energy efficiency market from a commercial or industrial programs perspective.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record growing a portfolio of similar products or services for a corporation or association. S/he must have outstanding interpersonal communication skills; be detail-oriented; and have a high-energy, “closer” attitude.
