Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions currently has an Entry Level Water Resources/Civil Engineering opportunity available in Birmingham, AL.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance in water related projects that include preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic models, engineering drawings, maps, and other related engineering documents. A key portion of the work will require analyses within ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS.
Skills / QualificationsIdeal candidates will have a BS degree in civil engineering or equivalent, preferably a MS degree (from an accredited program) and EIT certification0-2 years of experienceExperience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS are highly desiredCandidate should have a strong interest in a career focused in Water ResourcesWill conduct field investigations, perform engineering calculations and computer modeling, and produce written and oral reportsProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent oral and written English communication skills preferredExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment, as well as independently, under general supervisionMust pass drug test and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyCompany OverviewWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
