General Statement of the Job:The selected candidate will be supporting MLI’s supply chain goals & objectives. This position will direct supply chain quality development, sustainment, improvement and compliance required to support customer base for chemical, packaging, MRO and other commodities. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Development & Deployment: lead specification re-development and updates, supplier audit materials, supplier qualification, change horizon, quality improvement plans, process maps / flows, SOP / WI, supplier quality projects and roadmaps, SWAT team, support corporate & supply chain quality deliverables through development, implementation and monitoring activities that align with organizational strategic goals and objectives, oversee and drive quality launch activity for supplier readiness by coordinating process audits, internal / external training, kaizen activity and technical analysis and review, countermeasure activity and problem resolution to upper management, supplier scorecards, internal Quality Management Team reviews, supplier training, internal / external sampling, business continuity plans (BCP)
• Quality Methodology: Quality Improvement Plans (QIP), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), process change control, change horizon, white paper, ISO9001:2008 & 2015, including lead auditor and train-the-trainer subject matter expertise, internal/external/supplier audits, problem solving (8D, 7 Step, Post Mortem, CAPA), Supplier Self-Quality Assessment (SSQA, SSQA Lite) & Quality Operations Systems (QOS) a plus
• Quality Tools: Design failure mode effect analysis (DFMEA) / Process failure mode effect analysis (PFMEA)/ LEAN, Six Sigma or equivalent (Advanced Product Quality Planning [APQP]), KAIZEN, Total Quality Management (TQM), Statistical Process Control (SPC / SPC ++), TDPM, Process Control Systems (PCS), control charts, material specification development, material sampling theory and application, Incoming & Outgoing Quality Control / Analysis
Qualifications & Experience
Preferred candidate should possess supplier quality management in chemical supply chain for R&D and high-volume-manufacturing (HVM) environments. Four years of quality management or related work experience including leading complex project or program management objectives. BA / BS degree or Technical degree, Chemical Sciences or Quality preferred. Additional demonstrated qualifications include:
