Develops technical proposals in response to customer RFQ’s. Reviews customer’s specifications, architectural drawings, regulatory requirements, codes, standards, and other requirements impacting sanitary piping and equipment selected or developed for the project.
Determines engineering, design and testing resources required.
Develops equipment scope of supplies and software submittal requirements.
Coordinates with accounting, purchasing and operations to develop equipment, testing, NRE and documentation costs.
Provides design and testing direction for new equipment or piping configurations.
Performs piping and equipment sizing calculations.
Creates sanitary piping and equipment installation drawings.
Provides submittal documentation as required for the project.
Provides technical support for internal personnel, vendors, sales representatives, architects, general/mechanical contractors, and code officials.
Provides technical support during on-site reviews for sanitary piping installation, equipment installation and start-up.
Performs other related activities as assigned. Some travel may be required (<25%), domestic and international.
Two (2) or more years of plumbing engineering experience in an architectural firm with emphasis in environmental design or LEED systems.
Prior experience in vacuum plumbing systems would be helpful, but not required.
ASPE certified in plumbing design or green plumbing design.
Prior experience in Autodesk Revit MEP software.
