The City of Forest Grove is seeking a Director of Public Works. The Director of Public Works oversees the activities and operations of the City of Forest Grove’s Public Works Department including engineering, water treatment, and water, sewer, streets and equipment maintenance programs; coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; serves as an integral member of the City’s management team, and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager.
The Ideal Candidate will have the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred; and six years of increasingly responsible public works management experience including three years of management and administrative responsibility. Must possess current or previous registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) and be able to obtain State of Oregon PE registration within twelve (12) months of hire.
