Horizon Tech is a custom machine shop established in 1984 that manufactures high precision parts for multiple industries including the oil and gas, and firearms industries. As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for an exceptional team player to serve as Quality Assurance Manager leading the company’s efforts to maintain exceptional product and service with our vendors and suppliers and customers. Major areas of responsibility include management of the ERP system’s Quality Module and maximizing its functionality throughout the company through documenting processes and procedures in line with implementing and maintaining the Company’s ISO certification. The QA Manager will work with all areas of the company to create a cohesive set of standards and specifications that ensure Horizon Tech is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors and maximize company profitability while championing the company’s Continuous Improvement initiative.
If you have a strong background in manufacturing (machine shop environment a plus) with experience in ISO Certification with current standards and knowledge of MRP / ERP systems (E2 a plus), this could be the opportunity for you.
The ideal candidate will ensure that the products and services of Horizon Tech are consistent and fit for purpose, meeting both external and internal requirements. This position will have thorough knowledge of quality assurance and standards methodologies, great attention to details, and a result-driven approach, including outstanding communications skills.
Desired Skills:• Basic knowledge of MRP/ERP and/or E2 Shop System• ISO Certification Experience• MRP, ERP and/or E-2 System Knowledge• Experience in establishing performance metrics in identifying process improvement• Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques• High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals• Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working with staff to establish procedures, standards, and systems• Effective problem solving skills
Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA or QC position preferred• Experience in current standards for ISO Certification • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)• Team player that is able to work with diverse groups to broker consensus and alignment
