Under the direction of the Public Works Director and/or Public Works Deputy Director, plan, organize and direct daily operations and activities of Street Systems Division; supervise a variety of specialized duties in the construction, maintenance and repair of City street systems and related infrastructure; manage and coordinate contracted street maintenance and construction; plan and coordinate the Capital Improvement Program and the systematic pavement management program; develop, monitor and control assigned budgets; purchase needed materials and equipment; train, assign, supervise and evaluate the work of assigned personnel; inspect and assure work projects are completed according to code, specifications and timelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field and five years managing engineering design, street maintenance and/or construction experience including three years in a supervisory capacity.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed in Washington as Professional Engineer. Valid Washington driver's license.
