Responsibilities, Authorities and Decision making:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: This position supervises 5 to 7 non-supervisory positions in the following areas:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPERIENCE: Three to six years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations and Industry workmanship and inspection standards such as IPC, ANSI, UL, RoHS etc
COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate skills: Ability to navigate and use internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, or Company-wide cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software. Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs, Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
REASONING ABILITY: Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must have thorough knowledge of inspecting components, parts, materials, products against specified requirements. Some examples include but not limited to: electrical, electro-mechanical, electro-magnetic parts and subassemblies, printed wire assemblies, mechanical parts made from plastic, sheet metal, wires and wire harnesses, connectors, cables, electronic components, integrated circuits, This job also requires knowledge of various industry and Government standards for electrical and electronic products and components such as IPC, RoHS, ANSI, JEDEC, IEC etc.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: IPC certification or equivalent experience, ASQC inspection and quality control certification is desired but not essential.
