Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an Analyst in Transportation Asset Management for our rapidly expanding practice. Wood is a leader in asset management with a focus on the highway mode, serving federal and state DOTs, with increasing opportunities in other transportation modes. Wood has key contracts in place and a strong project portfolio, presenting opportunities for further expansion of this practice. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking candidate, with the blend of business, planning, engineering, and analytical acumen needed for this exciting market place. Wood’s Transportation Asset Management practice is based in metro Washington DC, working nation-wide. Although placement in Wood’s Beltsville, MD or Chantilly, VA office is preferred, placement in another Wood E&IS office in the continental US is possible for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesContributes technical specialization to Wood’s Transportation Asset Management practiceProvides advanced technical knowledge in transportation asset management for federal, state and local governments, with a focus on highways, and interest in other modesSupports complex projects, and leads smaller projects or phases of large projectsDevelops new business through technical proposal development, networking, specialized service offerings, client interaction, conference participation, and development of professional reputationContributes positively to a committed, professional team environmentActs as specialized resource working across the company, including for pertinent opportunities outside of highway transportation
Skills / QualificationsAn advanced degree is required, with specialization in one or more key facets of transportation asset management; Perhaps an MBA; Other combinations of planning, engineering, policy or analytical educational backgrounds will be consideredA minimum of 1-year specialization in Transportation Asset Management after graduation; Exceptions consideredKnowledge of transportation asset management principles and emerging practices are essentialSpecialization in one or more of organizational behavior, performance management, risk management, modeling, life-cycle costing, for transportation asset management is highly desirableExcellent analytical, problem solving and data management skills are essentialYou must be an excellent communicator to include technical writing, oral presentation, facilitation, and executive level synthesisMust demonstrate ability to lead tasks within projects and have excellent client service abilitiesLocal, regional and national travel varying from 2-6 overnights per month should be anticipatedMust pass drug screen, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policyCompany OverviewWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
