Direct and manage all aspects of assigned projects with regard to the engineering of complex civil infrastructure, including paving, drainage, water, sewer, and grading (incumbent may focus on all areas or just one or two areas of specific expertise); act as final decision-maker and communications link between the firm, client and permitting authority, as well as with the general contractor and consultants to ensure successful completion of the project in compliance with all contractual provisions and timeframe/budget limitations; work actively to sell company services and gain new clients; supervises other project managers and coordinates resources between project managers. Qualified candidates will have strong client management, project financial management, personnel management and business development skills.
Education/Experience• Bachelor’s Degree in project discipline or eight years of direct experience as equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred)• With degree, at least eight years related experience in project discipline (typically civil infrastructure design or analysis experience, includingpaving, drainage, grading, water, and sanitary sewer, etc.)• At least five years of prior project management experience• At least three years’ experience managing other employees• Existing relationships with local municipalities, TXDOT, NTTA
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• In-depth knowledge of project discipline (typically civil engineering infrastructure projects, including paving, drainage, water, sewer, grading and drainage infrastructure)• Solid knowledge of and proficiency with MS Office, including Project• Solid knowledge with Civil 3D design• In-depth knowledge of ability to estimate costs associated with technical tasks• In-depth understanding of project requirements• Advanced understanding of project financial performance metrics• Ability to consistently and successfully manage project financials in accordance with company goals
