Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions currently has an opportunity available for a Mechanical Quality Assurance Auditor at a data center in the Salt Lake City, UT area.The Mechanical Quality Assurance Auditor will be responsible for observing and tracking the delivery, installation and testing of mechanical materials and components of a large-scale mission-critical facility in order to ensure compliance with the project-specific drawings and specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsures compliance with the project-specific drawings and specifications via routine inspections of all mechanical componentsIdentifies and logs issues / shortcomings with mechanical components in a project-specific issues logCoordinates directly with the owner, the construction manager, the general contractor and their lower-tiered subcontractors to identify and prioritize inspectionsParticipates in daily kickoff meetings and weekly progress meetingsPrepares daily and weekly reports summarizing the inspections performed and their resultsAssist in the review of design drawings and specifications
Skills / Qualifications5-10 years of construction experience on complex, mission-critical facilities; Data center experience preferredExperience on large scale complex mechanical installations, testing and commissioningICC, or other certifications, preferredFamiliar with major regulations, industry codes, and standards affecting mechanical installationsKnowledgeable in standard mechanical materials and methods of constructionCompany OverviewWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
