Mid-level position available for a Structural Design Engineer in BergerABAM’s Portland, Oregon location with experience in one or more of the following areas: buildings, bridges, marine structures, industrial structures, and/or other infrastructure work. The candidate will work on project teams that analyze and design all of the above-mentioned structure types for projects located in our region and across the globe. Must be able to plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for tasks within a large project, or for a complete project of moderate scope. The design engineer prepares technical written communications in the form of memoranda and reports. Performs field duties such as condition assessments, structural observations, and project reconnaissance. Design engineers direct the work of junior engineering and technical staff.
