The Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research scientist in the lab of Dr. Cheng-Chia Wu. Position requires interest in radiation therapy and brain tumors ranging from glioblastoma to brain metastases. Studies are being conducted in the use of focus ultrasound-mediated blood brain barrier opening in combination with radiation and immunotherapy. Development of novel preclinical models for radiation using the SARRP is being explored.
A highly motivated and creative postdoctoral scientist is essential for this position.
The preferred candidate must have a strong background in preclinical models for cancer research and working with small animals. He/she should have experience with small animal imaging with bioluminescence and/or nuclear medicine. The candidate should also have experience with in Flow cytometry, cell culture, cancer stem cell, and molecular biology.
Qualified candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in medical sciences, biomedical materials, or a related discipline with a proven record of peer-reviewed publications. Prior post-doctoral experience is preferred.
