Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer in our Ruston, Louisiana office. This position is for an experienced Civil Engineer interested in public and private utility, transportation and development projects. The position will include planning, developing, coordinating and directing various civil engineering works with a focus on public infrastructure projects. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for producing civil contract documents for site development and infrastructure improvement projects based upon client objectives.
Engineering work may include a wide range of projects involving site selection, planning and design; stream pollution control; comprehensive development planning and environmental assessment; highway, parking lot and street design; water supply, treatment and distribution; sanitary sewer collection, pumping and treatment; gas distribution systems; airport planning and design; utility relocations; drainage; subdivision development; industrial park planning and design; and recreation planning and design.
Related tasks may include cost estimating, project budgeting, subdivision or site planning, earthwork analysis, pump station design, pipe sizing and layout, specification editing, preparation of complete bidding and construction documents as required to obtain plan approvals and permits, presentations to clients; communications with regulatory agencies; preparation and administration of construction contracts including addendums, submittal reviews, site visits, change orders and punch lists.
