Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our St. Louis Infrastructure department team. This position will lead major treatment projects in the municipal and mining sectors and will provide leadership and vision for Wood’s industrial water practice in the Central US Group.Key Responsibilities •Will grow and enhance our capabilities to complete water projects in the St. Louis office; will also work with other Wood offices across North America•Will lead traditional design/bid/build delivery, as well as engineer at risk design/build delivery•Will lead design teams to provide drawings, specifications and bid documents, as well as support construction and commissioning activities•Will work with construction teams for cost estimation and project execution•Perform project management, cost estimation and proposal development, including collaborating with other Wood teams•Participate in project coordination with the electrical, structural, process, instrumentation and architectural disciplines across Wood offices throughout North America•Develop proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets•Ensure discipline and quality standards are maintained for all projects•Manage and coordinate project teams, including ensuring the technical quality of deliverables•Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects•Will be actively involved in selecting, hiring and managing the team as we grow•Will travel within the US and Canada - approximately 15% overnight travel
Skills / Qualifications •BS or MS in any engineering discipline•PE required•Design/build experience is required•10 years + water/wastewater related experience•Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems•Leader and team player; able to work with team members across various Wood offices•Demonstrated Project Management skills and the ability to lead, train and mentor junior staff•Ability to communicate with clients and maintain successful client relations•Demonstrated ability to manage budget, schedule and engineering teams•Ability and willingness to travel within the US and Canada - approximately 15% overnight travel•Must pass drug screen, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policyCompany Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
