The City of Bozeman, Montana is seeking a full-time Engineer to join our team! In this essential role within the City’s Engineering/Public Works Division, you will plan, oversee, and manage civil engineering public infrastructure projects, and administer, coordinate, research and implement City-wide, business corridor, and neighborhood plans. The primary duties will be review of development applications and infrastructure plans and specifications to ensure adherence to City infrastructure standards, and coordinating with other City departments and design professionals. You will also perform other various relevant duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to create and maintain effective relationships with City officials and employees, and the general public. Demonstrated effective communication and customer service skills are required.

Wage/Salary: $66,203 – $72,750/year depending on experience and qualifications

Work Week: Generally 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Supervisor: Development Review Engineer
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related field; and• Considerable (3-5 years) experience in Civil Engineering; or• Any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
REQUIRED SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:• Possession of a Montana Professional Engineer License, or ability to obtain a Montana Professional Engineer’s License within 6 months of the date of employment;• Valid Driver’s License (must obtain valid Montana Driver’s License within 60 days of employment);• Offers for employment are conditional upon satisfactory response to appropriate post conditional offer process.
