Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Nashville Infrastructure Engineering/Design Services team. The successful candidate must have experience in civil engineering design and construction document development on various infrastructure/stormwater projects. Typical projects may include design of grading/drainage, storm culverts, storm sewer systems, detention ponds, minor roadway design, sewer and water lines, and erosion control. Clients that we serve range from local/state/federal agencies, various commercial clients, and Class I railroads. Key Responsibilities•Serves as seller-doer having responsibility for annual sales/revenue generation•Performs a broad range of planning and design tasks for transportation design, civil site design, and other infrastructure projects•Duties will include overseeing development of plans, construction drawings, specifications, design computations, reports and construction documents•Serve as senior engineer / project manager to develop scope, schedule, and budget and ensure successful project delivery; supervise and prepare engineering analyses, studies, and detailed engineering plans and specifications•Support the department in the management of staffing and workload•Acts as company liaison with internal and external clients•Assists in training junior staff•May travel periodically to project sites•Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills / Qualifications Candidate must:•Have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in site development (railroad track design is a plus)•Have thorough understanding of site drainage and utility design and be experienced with storm water, potable water and/or sanitary sewer design•Have earned PE registration (TN preferred)•Have good communication (written and oral) skills•Be client-focused and advancement oriented•Be computer literate and familiar with various software, such as:?CAD software: MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (MicroStation preferred.
