Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking an Engineering / Branch Manager for our Kamloops office. The ideal candidate will be capable of overseeing a group of engineers and technologists, and ensuring delivering of geotechnical, materials testing and environmental management services to local industry.
Reporting to the Manager BC Region, the Engineering / Branch Manager will be responsible for the operational management and long-term development of the team, clients and related business development, oversight on technical quality, and delivery on projects. These responsibilities will be delivered within a framework that manages risks and prioritizes safety.
We are seeking an individual with a strong operational background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, challenging environment, and provide sound leadership. They will be a key player in the organization, and have input in the overall direction of the Kamloops office.
Located in the South Central region of Beautiful British Columbia, Kamloops shares a semi-arid climate with the Okanagan Region, that is characterized by warm springs, hot summers, and moderate winters. Kamloops is a vibrant community and a center for business, education, arts and culture. The city is home to a population of just over 90,000 with a rich heritage dating back over 200 years. The bustling community is nestled at the junction of two major rivers, with amazing opportunities for outdoors activities such as fishing, camping, mountain biking, skiing, and golfing. Located on several major transportation corridors, popular destinations such as Vancouver and Kelowna are a short drive away, or you can take advantage of the local airport serviced by two major airlines as well as two regional airlines.
