MANAGER--- Westchester Joint Water Works, Mamaroneck, New York
The Westchester Joint Water Works seeks applications for the position of Manager to oversee the daily administration, managerial and technical operation of its public water supply system for approximately 14,500 retail and two wholesale customers.
The position is responsible for the overall operation of the water system’s intake, treatment plants, pump stations, storage tanks, transmission lines, mains, valves, meters and other related structures as well has SCADA, telemetry and billing systems. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, establishment of policy, water rate setting, capital projects forecasting, financial planning and supervision of administrative, operational, field and engineering staff as well as directing the work of outside consultants. Applicants should have at least ten (10) years of water and/or wastewater utility management and operating experience, be experienced in dealing with the general public and regulatory agencies and also be familiar with working in a collective bargaining environment.
