The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Minnesota invites applications to fill multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions. Applicants using genetic, molecular, biochemical, cellular, and/or integrative approaches to study problems relevant to pharmacological sciences are encouraged to apply. Investigators with translational disease-oriented research programs, as well as those with expertise in drug discovery or chemical biology are especially encouraged to apply. Current focus areas in the department include neuropharmacology, cancer, and cell signaling.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences or an M.D. degree, and relevant postdoctoral research experience. Applicants must have a strong record of research accomplishments as documented by publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. A track record of successful NIH funding is highly desirable.
The successful Assistant Professor applicant will be expected to develop an innovative, competitive research program supported by extramural funding and to participate in departmental teaching and service activities.
Applicants for Associate Professor or Full Professor positions must demonstrate distinction in published research, evidence of consistent extramural funding, and a commitment to teaching and service.
