Overview / Responsibilities Amec Foster Wheeler is currently seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support our Program/Construction Management (PM/CM) Practice. This full-time position will report to our Washington, DC area office located in Chantilly, Virginia.Position Summary This full-time Construction Project Engineer position will work closely with Amec Foster Wheeler’s nationwide resources. This position requires familiarity with design-build, engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), and design-bid-build procurement and execution for various construction project types, including vertical new construction, building renovation, civil/site infrastructure, pipe rehabilitation, and/or site remediation. Key Responsibilities•Support project and construction managers by gathering/analyzing cost and schedule input•Assist in subcontractor procurement support•Visit project sites•Lead pre-construction meetings•Coordinate RFI’s and submittals•Prepare project closeout documentation
Key Responsibilities•Support project and construction managers by gathering/analyzing cost and schedule input•Assist in subcontractor procurement support•Visit project sites•Lead pre-construction meetings•Coordinate RFI’s and submittals•Prepare project closeout documentationSkills / Qualifications We are seeking self-motivated professionals with: •2+ years of relevant construction experience•Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree, or equivalent experience in a construction related position•Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills•Experience with construction plans and specifications, tracking RFIs and submittals, and developing project documentation•Experience tracking and analyzing cost and schedule and knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera preferred•Must be willing to travel as required to support our major and minor programs•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyDiversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
