Overview / Responsibilities Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking a Materials Laboratory Manager. We are seeking a qualified individual to take a leadership role in our materials and geotechnical laboratories in our SLC office. Employee to be responsible for oversight of the AMRL / CCRL and UDOT lab certification processes, preparing for and closing out lab audits, maintaining internal quality control, ensuring timely execution of lab tests, and managing income statement to meet financial goals for the laboratory operation.Key Responsibilities•Business development of internal and external clients•Financial performance of the lab - P&L, controlling labor costs and equipment expenses, tracking revenue•Management of laboratory personnel to balance work load•Maintaining equipment calibrations and functionality•Maintaining QA procedures set by Amec Foster Wheeler and external clients•Perform test when needed•Review test results / reports
Skills / Qualifications •Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering OR Science is required•Professional Engineer registration preferred, but no necessary•Experience working in a laboratory performing tests ) is required•Experience setting up and managing remote laboratory facilities is required•Must pass drug test, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policyDiversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
