Overview / Responsibilities Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer / Civil 3D CAD Designer to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio Candidate will perform advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D design and development of construction documents for natural stream restoration and watershed management projects. floodplain and stormwater analyses, including hydrologic and hydraulic computer modeling, assist in analysis and design studies and support the production of written and oral reports by senior staff. Key Responsibilities•Independently develop AutoCAD Civil 3D construction documents and design analysis including cross sections and grading surfaces•Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of riverine systems under the guidance of senior professionals•Perform field investigations and GIS data processing to obtain data necessary for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling•Support preparation of floodplain and watershed studies•Support Stormwater / Green Infrastructure design projects•Work with a team of Stream Restoration specialists and water resources engineers•Some travel / field work may be required
Skills / Qualifications •BS in Civil Engineering or related field plus 3-5 years of experience•Demonstrated AutoCAD Civil 3D skills•Practical knowledge and experience in riverine hydrology and hydraulics•Experience with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS•Technical writing and communication skills•Stormwater modeling knowledge and experience preferred•Experience with SWMM, InfoSWMM and GIS is a plus•Experience with 2D modelling is a plus•Stormwater design experience is a plus•Certified Floodplain Manager is a plus•NPDES MS4 / TMDL / Water Quality experience is a plusDiversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
