Bracalente is a Global Manufacturer of Precision Machined Parts and Assemblies located in S.E. PA. We are looking for a Quality Assurance & Systems Improvements Leader with a background in Quality Engineering and Quality Systems Management.
This position reports to the Vice President of Operations with a dotted line to the President/CEO and works closely with all levels of management and production departments to coordinate and manage the Control of Quality Systems within the organization.
We are looking for an energetic Hands-on person to lead our quality team in a fast-paced precision machining environment.
Responsible for the effectiveness of Company Quality Systems and Certifications to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C standards, as well as compliance of other pertinent quality system standards like ITAR and automotive quality systems / requirements.
Directs and coordinates activities of Quality Technicians and Quality Engineers. Works closely with production and manufacturing engineering to support production activities.
Facilitate activities associated with the customer corrective action system. Corresponds with customers and vendors as necessary to assure product quality is maintained and to address quality related issues.
Assesses quality performance (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods including Pareto Analysis. Devises and implements various methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, reliability and accuracy of products and processes.
Develops and establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates and technical quality plans for proposals. Must have the ability to lead teams to make positive changes to our quality system. Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate repeat issues.
Responsible for Document Control, Internal/Customer Quality Audits and Contract Review processes / procedures and maintaining compliance throughout the plant.
Work with Global Managers to assure internal and external supply chain is maintaining acceptable quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications or Equivalent Industry Experience:
BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Maintaining ISO Certification; Conducting Internal / Customer Quality Audits
Certifications: ASQ CQE. Must have a working knowledge of ISO9001:2008, AS9100, ITAR
Strong background in Machining Technology. Must have direct machine shop experience in dealing with machined parts Supervisory/management experience.
Six Sigma Green or Black belt and a compliment of Lean Tools.
Use of Quality Engineering methods in inspection.
Thorough knowledge of document control; contract review, quality inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts.
Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and manufacturing functions.
Ability to use standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools.
Must be able to properly staff, train, develop, coach and motivate direct and indirect employees.
Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects.
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders and top management.
Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal-setting, performance feedback and self-development activities.
Strong knowledge of Quality Systems, including maintaining and improving ISO9001/QS900 and AS9100 Systems.
Experience with metallurgy and external processes including heat treatment, anodizing, and plating.
