Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, the employee in this position is responsible for the monitoring, coordination and measuring results and reporting on the degree of impact of the projects, policies and actions outlined in the Transportation Master Plan (TMP). The work generally requires the employee to exercise judgement, initiative and creativity. The nature of the role requires the individual to have a strong ability to engage various staff throughout the organization and requires a significant degree of leadership and independence. This position will provide coordination of efforts across a number of corporate divisions and will provide a corporate-level report on the progress and impacts of the projects, policies and actions within the TMP. The TMP Coordinator’s responsibilities may also include direct involvement in policy development and the delivery of related transportation mode shift related projects and actions as outlined in the TMP and other related city plans.
Typically a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering, Planning, Environmental Science or other relevant discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible transportation planning experience. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience would be considered.
