The Senior Technical Service Representative has technical responsibility for a specific geographical area in the US. It is their responsibility to interface with customers and distributors by providing technical information about the Performance Additives’ Product Line by assisting the customer with formulation suggestions.
Travel regularly to meet with customers
Perform various types of physical testing in the laboratory for the ongoing needs of technical service work related to customer projects.
Perform strength testing, physical testing, and record keeping with accuracy, thoroughness, promptness, and consistency.
Interface with all laboratory personnel and the commercial team.
Contribute to the development of lab goals and other methods to continually improve lab processes.
A BS degree in Chemistry or other science-related field.
Strong math and computer skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Must have at least 5 years laboratory experience working with construction products, specifically Portland cement-based mortars. Must be familiar with formulating and testing mortars.
Must have excellent communication skills so that information can be conveyed to customers in a clear and precise manner both verbally (e.g., making presentations) and in writing.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time. May include some international travel. In addition, if working outside of Brewster, NY area, approximately one week per month would be spent in Brewster.
The work environment requires sometimes moving objects or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
