The North Tahoe Public Utility District is seeking a General Manager/CEO who is an experienced, visionary, approachable leader with outstanding communication and listening skills, excellent public relations, a proactive participant in the community, with a proven ability to plan, organize, coordinate and supervise multiple functions and activities of the District.
The ideal candidate will be attracted to North Lake Tahoe's small community environment and would bring: a desire to become a visible and collaborative member of the community in addition to providing strong leadership for the District, passionate about and dedicated to the mission and goals of the District, ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the Board of Directors coupled with diplomatic and open-minded demeanor with a proven track record of sound fiscal and personnel management.

Any Combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. A typical combination includes:
EDUCATION: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work in public administration, business administration, engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees and certificates desirable; and
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public agency or private sector management that may include responsibility for wastewater collections, potable water treatment/distribution, and parks and recreation facilities.
