The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is in search of an experienced, innovative, collaborative Accountant to join our Finance Team. This position will be under the general direction of the Finance Director and will perform professional accounting work, including auditing, analyzing, and verifying fiscal records and reports, processing invoices, and assisting with budget preparation. This position will receive a 3.39% salary increase, effective July 1, 2018, based on a cost of living adjustment. Why join SACOG?

Education and Experience
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a closely related field and three (3) years of responsible professional accounting experience, preferably in the public sector.
