Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Surveying and Mapping Technician to assist professional staff in the planning, execution and delivery of surveying and mapping projects and related deliverable products.Key ResponsibilitiesMust be able to multi-task relating to projects and deliverable productsMaintain flexible schedule to prioritize and meet deadlinesEvaluate, process, and map traditional field notes, electronic data collection, and GPS/GNSS filesProvide technical mapping support in production of deliverable surveying and mapping productsPrepare CAD deliverables to client specific standardsPerform survey computations and adjustmentsInterpret and map legal descriptionsPrepare legal descriptions and sketchesRecords researchWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesCompany OverviewWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets. Skills / QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent2 years of experience working in the surveying and mapping professionDemonstrated proficiency with computer systems and basic office softwareDemonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/GEOPAK, and GISGood communication skillsGood time management skillsQuality control oriented with attention to detailKnowledge of and experience in field survey proceduresKnowledge of and experience in survey computations and adjustmentsKnowledge of boundary survey principlesAbility and wiliness to occasionally work in the fieldNSPS Certified Survey Technician (CST) certification or ability to procure in 6 monthsDrug screening, driver’s license and criminal background check
