Andrews Engineering, Inc. (Andrews) is a Civil and Environmental Engineering firm with offices in Illinois and Indiana. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Civil Professional Engineer to expand our established offices in various locations. This is an opportunity for a motivated engineer.
You need to be self-directed and have organizational and problem-solving skills. Project management experience and strong technical skills for mentoring junior staff and completing cost estimates for clients and Requests for Proposals.
Other duties include:
Ensuring the technical competence and reputation of the engineering department is enhanced and developed to consistently meet the technical requirements of incoming projects and the company’s strategic development plans.
Ensuring all design standards and specification reviews are developed and maintained in accordance with company standards.
Candidate is expected to support residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Technical tasks include, but are not limited to: conceptual site layout, utility design; roadway design; site grading design; storm drain design; storm water management design; water and sanitary sewer main design; soil erosion and sedimentation control design; floodplain studies; permitting and entitlement support; and construction support. Environmental experience will be considered if emphasis of work experience is with the technical engineering aspects of a project such as remediation design, infrastructure or environmental system design.

Position as lead engineer with ability to direct staff. Job responsibilities will be diverse and will include both engineering design and project management. Job requirements may include general civil design, CQA, environmental permits and system design, project management, client contact, and business development.
