This is a full-time 12 month endowed tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor that reports to the Chair of the Plant Sciences Department.
Responsibilities of this hire will be primarily to teach courses in hydroponic agriculture as well as assist in the creation of the pertinent curricular development for a hydroponics specialization in the Plant Science Department as well as coursework in aquaponics and urban agriculture. The Professor will also have the opportunity to establish a research and development program with emphasis on exploration of the feasibility of novel hydroponic crops as well as studies in determining increased efficiencies of current production practices with established commodities.
