The City of Tualatin is recruiting for a Management Anaylst II position in our Community Development department. This position is responsible for coordinating, developing and implementing special projects and programs that have a broad impact in the Community Development department and citywide. Regular work includes the Community Development department annual budget, regional coordination of transportation planning, department communication, preparing materials for elected officials, and grant coordination. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
While the position may be called upon to efficiently perform the full range of essential duties and responsibilities which fall under the full Management Analyst II classification, the essential duties listed below are primary.Perform the following functions in addition to those Essential Duties and Responsibilities defined in the Classification Description. Attend regional meetings generally and specifically related to transportation planning. Help manage coordination between the City and region to ensure the City's transportation planning interests are represented and the City's capital transportation projects are coordinated with regional planning. Regional coordination includes attending off site meetings, building partnerships with other agencies and preparing written work products that can be shared regionally. Coordinate with other City departments on newsletter submissions from Community Development and write newsletter articles. Responsible for finding other creative ways to communicate work in the Community Development department this may include organizing and attending meetings with community members. Works with Community Development staff to update the Community Development Department and other division web pages on the City website to reflect up-to-date information. Prepare and help manage annual budget for the Community Development department including division budgets for Building and Planning using city's financial software, Excel, and other tools. Work closely with Finance department to track and prepare budget components pertinent to the Community Development department. Prepare materials for elected officials including letters on behalf of City Council members, talking points on projects of their interest and gathering data and compiling in such a way that is useful for elected officials. Grant coordination entails researching grant opportunities, identifying appropriate grant opportunities based on City needs and writing grant proposals. The Management Analyst II may write grant proposals or help write and review proposals for other departments which requires coordination and communication with other City departments. Serves as liaison to City-wide technology, communication and other organizational improvement committees.
