The Street Use Division of the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is looking for an individual who is ready for a challenging and exceptional opportunity working with a team of professionals whose mission is to deliver a safe, reliable, efficient, and socially equitable transportation system that enhances Seattle's environment and economic vitality. The Construction Management Permit Supervisor will oversee a team of staff who coordinate and issue over 24,000 building and utility construction permits a year that spans in complexity from small utility repairs to highly complex downtown construction. This position reports to the Permit Services Manager and ensures the following objectives are met: (1) best management practices are applied that meet city and SDOT initiatives and policies to ensure Right of Way (ROW) closures maintain a functional transportation network; (2) quality control and assurances of right of way management planning and permitting; and, (3) ensure systems are in place to provide a streamlined, transparent, and predictable permit review system.
