Performs entry to intermediate-level project management responsibilities for less complex projects, under the review of a higher-level engineer. Reviews, plans, and designs increasingly more complex Utilities Department projects. Performs related work as required.Some leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The Utilities Engineer I classification is distinguished from Utilities Engineer II by less complexity and diversity of assignments.
