We have a full time opportunity for an Energy Analyst in our Latham, NY office.
Provide energy analysis and engineering services on projects assigned by the Energy and Building System Services Division Manager.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Independently or with minimal supervision, perform building energy audits/surveys; identify Energy Efficient Measures (EEM's); develop and perform energy & cost savings, estimated cost to implement and simple payback. Perform energy savings estimating using spreadsheet analysis, bin-hour analysis, or other similar tools. Maintain proficiency with eQuest, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP and/or other energy estimating software packages to determine energy savings for more complex systems or from a whole building analysis. Benchmark buildings against published data (CBECS, MECS) and US EPA Portfolio Manager. Develop cost estimates for implementation of EEM's based on published data (RS Means) or vendor quotes. Read and interpret customer utility bills and enters data into third party software for tracking and analyzing. Coordinate with utility/NYSERDA energy services programs, for incentives available to clients. Assist in/perform code research, to determine latest code requirements to be followed.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university accompanied with participation in the Industrial Assessment Center program or equivalent related experience and/or training; with a minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience.
