Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to support the Remediation and Geotechnical Project Managers. The candidate should be prepared to provide technical leadership, oversight, and technical project support. The position will also network with similar technical professionals across the country to support best practices, marketing, and cross education.
The successful candidate will be an expert in groundwater modelling using, but not limited to, MODFLOW and MT3D. Projects are environmental site investigation and/or remediation projects at industrial/commercial sites and/or government installations. Duties will include performance as senior groundwater modeler, oversite of other modelers, support of report development, coordination of resources with other experts, and support of project planning and strategies.
Work may be conducted under a variety of regulatory programs (CERCLA, RCRA, UST, Brownfields). Will receive detailed instructions on work objectives, complex features and possible solutions and will receive close supervision and review of work.
