Summary of Position
The Biomedical Science Program in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a three-year, benefits-eligible, renewable, non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor position to commence August 2018. The person hired will be primarily responsible for clinically-related undergraduate teaching in the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) option of the Biomedical Science Program. Teaching responsibilities include courses (lecture and lab) in medical biochemistry, clinical chemistry, biomedical lab management, molecular diagnostics, and other relevant courses. Clinical responsibilities will include training and supervising students and coordinating student clinical internship experiences. Other responsibilities will include academic advising of students, participation in the periodic accreditation process for the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) and other service activities.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Masters or Ph.D. degree, certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent), 3 years employment in a clinical laboratory or equivalent teaching experience, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in the area of Molecular Diagnostics highly preferred.
