The University of Central Florida College of Medicine is seeking applicants for a multi-year non-tenured or a tenure track pharmacology educator faculty position in the Department of Medical Education. Reporting to the chair of Medical Education, the successful applicant will be primarily responsible for developing and delivering part of the pharmacology content in an integrated format in first year biomedical science modules and second year organ-system based modules.
The successful applicant will collaborate with both basic science and clinical faculty to integrate concepts, facilitate small groups, and support pharmacology learning throughout four years of the curriculum.

Position Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants are required to have either a Ph.D. in pharmacology, a PharmD, or a doctorate in a related field from an accredited institution. Candidates must have experience developing and presenting pharmacology content to healthcare students.
In order to be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate or full professor of medicine upon hire, the successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of scholarly achievement, teaching experience and service commensurate with rank.
Ideal candidates will have at least two years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants with experience in innovative educational practices, experience teaching medical school, knowledge of undergraduate medical school curricular standards, and evidence of educational scholarship will be given special consideration. Given our integrated curriculum, prior experience teaching other basic science disciplines is also desired.
