Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team in the Midwest/South. Project experience should include traffic studies (including modeling), design of traffic signals, lighting, signing/pavement markings, traffic control, ITS, traffic safety, and related ADA compliance. LocationOpen to any E&IS office location in the US Midwest/SouthKey Responsibilities•Complete traffic engineering work and perform as traffic task lead on multidiscipline teams•Generate traffic engineering efforts, including assessments, studies, models, and designs•Interface with clients, project teams, and other managers•Work effectively with team members as well as independently•Assist with preparation of scopes of work and fee estimates•Assist with preparation of statements of qualifications and proposals for traffic projects
Skills / Qualifications •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering•Registration as Professional Engineer (Civil) in Missouri desirable, but not required•Registration as Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) desirable, but not required•Proficiency in the use of Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and Highway Capacity Manual (HCM)•Experience in the use and application of Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, Vissim, and Corsim software a plus•Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment•Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)•Ability to apply engineering principles to define and solve problems•Proficiency in MS Office application software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyCompany Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
