The Federal Highway Administration is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to fill a key technical position at the HQ Office of Bridges and Structures (Washington DC) focused primarily on infrastructure design, construction, performance, and operation for safety and security against man-made hazards. This person will develop, advance, and implement improved engineering and design techniques for assuring survival and post-event return-to-service of bridges and tunnels. This person will provide technical review and assistance with plans and specifications for complex structures across the U.S. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Engineering, and will have experience and competency to improve national engineering practice as defined in policy, codes, standards, and guidelines.
