Performs traffic engineering and planning studies, develops plans and specifications, and prepares cost estimates and project reports. Supervises a team of engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians and schedules work for all team members. Responsible for mentoring younger staff. Reports to the department manager and works closely with all project disciplines. Manages project design schedules, budgets, scope and is responsible for project quality control. Coordinates with the client and is responsible for meeting client schedules and budgets. Coordinates with local office and firm management to set, manage, and achieve specific office and firm goals. Assists and sometimes leads business development efforts to identify, pursue and win new work for the office and firm as a whole. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team in order to work toward common goals in serving our clients.
