Ficcadenti Waggoner and Castle Structural Engineers (FWCSE) was established in 1991, providing structural engineering services to a diverse group of high quality clients for over 25 years. FWCSE has grown to approximately 70 employees with offices in Irvine and Concord, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Our qualifications and extensive experience enable us to back our creative design solutions with fundamental engineering principles. Our engineers use state-of-the-art finite element software and our design and graphics departments utilize the latest drafting and three-dimensional modeling packages to develop quality designs, reports and construction documents.
Job Description: We are seeking entry to mid-level engineers with 0-5 years of experience to join our talented team in our Northern California office. The job responsibilities include performing engineering calculations and designing concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and cold- formed steel structures. Developing solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity is key to this position. In addition, site inspections, construction administration, and developing client relationships are important aspects of the job.
Some of the types of work FWCSE is involved with include parking structures, theaters, theme park structures, pre-fabricated curtain wall systems, multi-family residential buildings, hotels, seismic retrofits, and commercial and retail buildings. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, a team player, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates with a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering, as well as knowledge of software such as RISA-3D and ETABS are a plus. Having a P.E. license is preferred but not required.
