A California-based professional consulting firm is seeking a talented mid-level railway Traction Power Simulation Engineer for a full-time position where some or all of the work will be done in Lebanon, NH. As part of one of the country’s premier teams of rail transit system experts, this conscientious, self-starting professional will analyze proposed preliminary and final designs. In addition, this engineer will analyze the existing traction power supply and distribution systems for a variety of clients as well as rail traction power technologies, including state-of-the-art energy storage devices. Our client base includes commuter and intercity rail, rail mass transit (e.g. subway, elevated and other fixed urban guideway systems), light rail, and bus owners and operators.
The Traction Power Simulation Engineer will work from drawings, specifications, technical reports, electrical schematics, operating data, and performance specifications with client and internal direction in accordance with our customers’ needs. Work assignments also may entail the performance and/or planning and oversight of field instrumentation (e.g. data collection) in support of the diagnostic or validation phase of a project. The pay is competitive.
