We are currently recruiting for two Engineering Technician II's (ET II's). In this role you will be responsible for many tasks within the division related to the inspection of roadway construction projects, permits and transportation assets. The incumbents in the ETII role should be familiar with roadway construction activities such as excavation, sidewalks, drainage, paving, traffic control and other related activities. In addition, you will have the ability to operate tools and equipment associated with roadway construction such as basic survey equipment, distance measuring devices and other related equipment. You should also have the ability to safely operate full size passenger vehicles and pickups and other related equipment. You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders including engineers, developers, utility workers, contractors, other government agencies and citizens. You must possess excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and you should have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
