The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU) and the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) Del E. Webb School of Construction (DEWSC) seeks applicants for a lecturer position (all ranks) beginning in the Fall 2018 semester. Appointments will be made at the rank of Principal Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Lecturer, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments.
Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in construction, with an emphasis on heavy/civil construction, including courses in construction methods and materials, estimating, project management, heavy equipment operations and environmental aspects of construction. Other responsibilities include working with student organizations and competition teams, supervising undergraduate projects, participating in course and program assessment, and engaging local industry associations affiliated with the program. This position is non-tenure track. It is anticipated that the contract will be renewed annually subject to satisfactory performance.
