Major /Course of Study
Associate Degree (2 yr)
Hydraulics and hydrostatics, pneumatics, diesel engines and fuel systems, power trains, electrical controls, air conditioning and climate control systems, and proper safety and environmental practices.
Bachelors Degree (4 yr)
Related experience and/or training
Working knowledge of open-loop and closed-loop fluid power systems including hydrostatic transmissions.
Knowledge of system filtration design parameters and lubrication analysis, including interpretation of fluid analysis tests.
*Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special licenses, other education, certification or professional memberships:
Maintain railroad safety training and certifications.
