The Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital seeks to recruit an Instructor for our Neuroscience Statistics Research Laboratory. The candidate should have a doctorate level degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an academic center directing an analytical laboratory with special expertise in rodent physiology and data analysis. A proven record of accomplishment and working effectively with all levels of staff within an academic and clinical environment, as well as successful grant funding and publication, is necessary.
The applicant will direct, model, develop and provide support for both internal and external research projects. Working collaboratively with investigators, the candidate will provide leadership in carrying out original, significant and rigorous neuroscience and anesthesia research.
Academic appointment will be in the Department of Anaesthesia, Harvard Medical School, at the Instructor level commensurate with experience, achievement, recognition, and planned participation in teaching and scholarly activities. A Ph.D. in computational neuroscience, computer science, biomedical engineering, applied statistics or a related field preferred.
