As the primary source of funding for the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration’s education and outreach, the SME Foundation supports the mining profession and the community it serves.
The Foundation Development Coordinator position will support the planning and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising plan with multiple strategies. The Coordinator oversees primary staff responsibilities for planning and implementing SME Foundation special events; prospect identification, qualification and research for all viable prospects; acknowledgment, recognition and stewardship correspondence and programs; and specifically, for securing support from those individuals and corporations targeted for annual and multi-year commitments of below $10,000, as well as those prospects targeted for making planned gifts or bequest commitments. Incumbent should be extremely organized and able to work independently.
