We are recruiting for a senior transportation project leader to join either the Area 4 office in Corvallis or the Area 5 office in Springfield. The person in this position will be given the opportunity to choose their home office location, but will provide support to both locations.The primary purpose of this position is to lead the development and delivery of complex transportation projects that have a high degree of diversity and unique problems in which established criteria and technical precedents frequently do not apply. This position is assigned the most complex projects of significant risk, including highly visible or highly political risk factors, which can range in size from small projects to mega-projects. This person leads multiple teams through all activities necessary to ensure their project portfolio is delivered according to project requirements for scope, schedule, and budget. Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, public administration, architecture, planning, or engineering; AND five years progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept;OR An associate degree (or comparable course work) in architectural, construction or engineering technology; AND six and one-half years progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept;OR Eight years of progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept. Note: Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), Oregon Project Management Associate Certification (OPMA) or other related certification will substitute for 1 year of the qualifying experience.
Special Qualifications:Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).
